Chris Stanton is a Brooklyn-based writer and journalist raised in Long Beach, California. He currently works on the copy desk at New York Magazine, where he co-writes the long-running Approval Matrix feature. Chris also writes essays and reported features on topics ranging from healthcare to a professor's coffee date with Stanley Kubrick. His work has appeared in outlets such as Vulture, Intelligencer, The Atlantic, and The Cut, among others. A graduate of Cornell University and the Daily Sun, he holds a B.A. in both Government and French Studies, with a minor in Film.
